Top 8 quotes of Robert Frost. On his Birthday.

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

-The Road Not Taken

My first encounter with Robert Frost (26 March 1874- 29 Jan 1963) was in school when ‘The road not taken’  was a part of our school syllabus.
After that, in college days, I got to read more of Frost’s poetry and ultimately, he became one my favourite poets of all time.

On the day of his birthday, here I am sharing my favourite quotes from Frost’s poetry ocean. Hope you’ll find them interesting.

1) Something there is that doesn’t love a wall, That sends the frozen-ground-swell under it –   Mending Wall

2)The woods are lovely, dark, and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep.

 Stopping by the woods on a snowy evening

3) Some say the world will end in fire, Some say in ice. – Fire and Ice

4) So people and things don’t pair any more, With what they used to pair with before. – The door in the dark

5) “Good fences make good neighbors”. –  Mending Wall

6)For this is love and nothing else is love, The which it is reserved for God above

To sanctify to what far ends He will, But which it only needs that we fulfil. – A prayer in Spring

7)What will next prove a rose. You, of course, are a rose– But were always a rose.  – The Rose Family

8) And the lines which make the difference – I shall be telling this with a sigh   Somewhere ages and ages hence:  Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—  I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.  – The Road Not Taken
